Let's do it. You know the drill by now. You come in hot, with a question or some random subject you want me to write about. I, in turn, navigate the endless depths of my melon and put together a post, just for you.
Bridget, I hope you are out there. Your request from over a month ago has been percolating in the hopper and it is time to give you what you asked for.
I am very excited, vulnerable, and I think happy. So come on over, come on over, baby. On days like today you can't stop me, you can only hope to contain me.
P.S. Vote for Pedro.
P.P.S. And it's true. Rock stars do always get the chicks. He he.
Vote for Pedro? Pay-dro??? Am I supposed to get it?

Did you fall asleep during Napoleon Dynamite, too? Christ dude, you're on the verge of being put on probation for movie nights. We'll give you a pass for The Ali G movie, but you are walking on thin ice.

Um...yeah....I don't think I quite enjoyed that one as much as everyone else...

You can make it up to me by calling me 10-15 minutes before the UCONN game starts with "car trouble." Get it? Car trouble. I'll have to "leave the office early this afternoon" to help you out with your "car trouble." Luckily we are neighbors and I can "take you home." If your "car trouble" gets straightened out, perhaps I can "come back into the office," but "we'll just have to see how it goes."
Who's comin' with me?

A little desperate, are we?

Careful what you say. I still have yet to play the "wife has car trouble" card. Actually, come to think of it, that might be the play this afternoon.
You up for it? If not, you can go to Magic Hat for AJ and I and fill up 4 or 5 growlers. Thanks.

yeah that's going to happen.
Have you gone to the "dr's appointment" well too many times? what about "I have to run down town and file this motion. see you monday." no good?

I've missed more time the past 5 months with "doctor's appointments" than the number of school days Ferris Bueller missed. If I had an actual motion to file downtown today that was actually due today, that might work. Unfortunately I've let it be known to the office on several occasions (and probably a little too loudly) about how I can get downtown from here in less than 10 minutes. (It's all about College Street brother.)
What are the symptoms of salmonella poisoning again?

Does the night after your infamous Chili's salad ring any bells??

Oh for chrissakes. Low blow, really low blow. That, unfortunately, is a scene I cannot fake nor do I care to even try.

Pace yourself Slice, baseball season is right around the corner.
Then again if you get a pet it would open up some new possibilities. There's always the dog is sick, I have to take the pet to the vet for some shots, or the classic, my pet monkey has car trouble...
